Este evento es una celebración cultural y de recaudación de fondos para sustentar el trabajo de la organización, Trans Queer Pueblo. Utilizamos el arte para comunicar mensajes de resistencia y activar a nuestra membresía y picar el interés de nuevas personas. Es una noche de arte, cultura, y joteria.

 

Las estrellas de la noche serán Las DesmadrOSAS - la compañía de teatro de Trans Queer Pueblo. Ellas son mujeres migrantes, mestizas, indígenas e indocumentadas que crean teatro para levantar sus voces, sanar sus cuerpos y mentes y tejer lazos de unión, todo para poner fin a la violencia de género.

Ven y sé testigo de Mujeres Insurrectas: poesía teatral nacida de la resistencia de mujeres migrantes.

Una noche donde la resistencia de las mamás migrantes se convierte en una visión de nuestro pasado y futuro . Las Desmadrosas de Trans Queer Pueblo te sumergirán en una presentación de su vida y experiencias como mujeres que sobrevivieron a la violencia de género pero que convirtieron su historia en resiliencia.

This event is a cultural celebration and fundraiser dedicated to sustaining the work of the organization Trans Queer Pueblo. We use art to convey messages of resistance, to mobilize our membership, and to spark the interest of newcomers. It is a night of art, culture, and queer celebration.

 

The stars of the evening will be Las DesmadrOSAS—Trans Queer Pueblo’s theater troupe. They are migrant, mestiza, Indigenous, and undocumented women who create theater to raise their voices, heal their bodies and minds, and weave bonds of solidarity—all with the aim of putting an end to gender-based violence.

Come and witness *Mujeres Insurrectas* (Insurrect Women): theatrical poetry born from the resistance of migrant women.

 

It is a night where the resistance of migrant mothers transforms into a vision of our past and future. Las DesmadrOSAS of Trans Queer Pueblo will immerse you in a performance reflecting their lives and experiences as women who survived gender-based violence—women who transformed their personal histories into resilience.

The evening will also feature performances by other artists exploring the theme of insurrection.
