TQPueblo is committed to respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to www.allianceforsafetyandjustice.org, safeandjust.org, cssj.org, timedone.org and the other websites and applications, online services on or in which this Privacy Policy is linked or referenced (the “Website”). This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we collect and how that personal information may be used, maintained and, in some cases, shared. Your use of our Website indicates your acceptance to be bound by the terms of the Privacy Policy in effect as of the date of your use. If you do not agree to be bound by the terms of the Privacy Policy, do not use our Website.

We collect Personally Identifiable Information that you give to us voluntarily and that we get from your use of the Website, as more fully described below.

“Personally Identifiable Information” that we may collect includes information such as your: first and last name; home or other physical address; email address; telephone number; user name; credit card information; social security number, banking information, IP address; age, incarceration status and past conviction history;  and type of crime experienced.  We may use some of this Personally Identifiable Information we collect, including but not limited to information about incarceration status, past conviction history, and age, for our research purposes, to develop our policy initiatives, and for reports related to our work.

 

We may also collect electronic information during your use of our site — including IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, and referring sources — to enable us to analyze how visitors use this site. We may collect domain information to enable us to analyze how visitors use this site. This data enables us to become more familiar with people who visit our site including how often they visit, their access times, etc. We will use this information to improve its services and obtain statistics regarding the use of our site.

We may also use the information to which we have access to provide you with or solicit other information and to let you know of additional services that may be of interest to you. We will provide you with the opportunity to opt out of these communications.

Sharing Personally Identifiable Information with Third Parties

We may share and disclose your Personally Identifiable Information to third party service providers that we retain to perform functions on our behalf, such as donation payment processing, web hosting, data analyses, and communication services providers.

We may also share Personally Identifiable Information with affiliated nonprofit organizations and our business partners, for the purposes of conducting research projects, preparing reports, co-developing policy initiatives, or engaging in other work in furtherance of our mission. That information may be shared in an identifiable fashion or in a “de-identified” fashion, at our discretion, and as permitted by applicable law. Relatedly, personal information once “de-identified” is not subject to this Privacy Policy and we may treat it as non-Personally Identifiable Information and use it without obligation to you except as prohibited by applicable law.

Do Not Track Notice

Some web browsers (including Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome) incorporate a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) or similar feature that signals to websites that a visitor does not want to have their online activity and behavior tracked. If a website that responds to a certain DNT signal receives the DNT signal, the browser can block that website from collecting certain Personal Information about the browser’s user. While we track the Website for internal website evaluation purposes, we do not track our visitors over time and across third party websites for the purpose of providing targeted advertising. Therefore, we do not respond to DNT headers.

We are concerned about the safety and privacy of children online. Therefore, we do not and will not knowingly contact or collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If we are notified that we have received Personal Information from an individual 13 or under, we will attempt to obtain parental consent or delete the information. As a result, while we strive to protect user information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or through the use of this Website. When you provide us information, you acknowledge and agree that you provide such information and engage in such transmissions at your own risk.

Credit Card Transactions

We provide links on our Website to make a donation to TQPueblo does not process your credit card information. Instead, Trans Queer Pueblo has entered into an agreement with EveryAction, which uses a third party payment processing service called Paragon, to collect, store, process, and transmit your credit card data when you make a donation. All online financial transactions are processed through a secure window hosted by our payment provider. All personal financial information you provide for making donations is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (“SSL”) technology and then encrypted into our payment provider’s database. All personally identifiable information transmitted back to us is also sent via SSL-secured connections.

 

 

Emails

 

When you donate to Trans Queer Pueblo or sign up to receive email communications, you will be asked to supply your email address. The emails you receive may include information relating to our organization’s mission, new features or content on our sites, or calls for action on social justice issues. You can always “opt out” of receiving our online communications by following the unsubscribe directions on any of the emails. You may also unsubscribe by sending us an email at info@tqpueblo.org asking that we delete you from our subscriber list.

Please recognize that emails are not secure against interception. Therefore, please do not send us sensitive or personal information via email.

We provide links to other websites from our Website. Links to other websites do not imply an endorsement of the materials disseminated at those websites, nor does the existence of a link to another website imply that the organization or person publishing at that site endorses any of the materials on our platforms. There is no fee charged by TQPueblo for text messages we send you. However, message and data rates may apply.

 

Data obtained from you in connection with this SMS service may include your mobile phone number, your carrier’s name and the date, time and content of your messages. We may use this information to contact you and provide information about TQPueblo’s programming and initiatives and to let you know of additional services or opportunities for engagement that may be of interest to you. This data is not shared with third parties except as necessary to provide the information, services, and opportunities for engagement to you.

We are not liable for any delays in the receipt of any SMS message as delivery is subject to effective transmission from your mobile service provider.
